Position Description
The primary purpose of the Warehouse Clerk is receiving, storing and issuing or assisting users in locating needed warehouse items and operating parts truck to make daily runs to pick up and deliver items.
Position Requirements
Unloading delivery trucks, checking and storing incoming parts and materials, processing receipt information into the Lawson computer system.
? Monitor delivery of bulk fuels.
? Promptly and courteously assist maintenance employees by issuing parts and materials and or helping them locate and remove parts and materials
? Prepare and/or process issue and returns tickets into the Lawson system or other record system
? Check oil levels in fuel tanks, notify purchasing/warehouse supervisor of daily levels
? Perform or assist in performing complete physical count of inventory
? Organize and maintain orderliness of inventories
? Make spot checks of physical inventory
? Rotate shafts on all motors and gear boxes at least semi-annually
? Perform operator inspections of fork lift daily
? Assist in clean-up and disposal of accumulated 'used materials'
? Tag and maintain correct up to date tags on inventory shelves
? Pickup and delivery of materials and supplies when directed to do so
? Perform general warehouse facility housekeeping duties, which includes duties such as cleaning & dusting shelves, sweeping floors, empty trash containers, and other housekeeping duties
? Train other employees, when needed, how to operate a fork truck. This is an occasional duty.
